Because the carton is made to your custom size, the internal cavity is matched to the specific bulb shape and base fitting. A close internal fit is the single biggest factor in protection here, keeping the glass away from the outer walls where impacts are most likely. Since fragile glass is unforgiving of movement, it is worth noting how the boxes will be transported so the internal support can be judged against real handling.
Protecting a fragile product
