Privacy & Security
At CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk, customer confidentiality is our priority. Other than when it is required to deliver and process orders, we never share, sell or disclose client information to any third party.
CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk is the sole owner of data collected on our website. We collect visitor information at various stages of our website order process.
Users must register to use CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk. When registering, visitors are required to provide a name, address, phone number and email address. Even if visitors do not place an order, we use this data to contact them about our services.
When filling out our order form, visitors must provide contact details (including name, email and delivery address) and financial details (including credit card number and expiry date). We use this data to authorise payment methods, fulfil orders, and contact customers if there is a problem in processing an order.
Like most websites, we use log files. We log data including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP) data, referring/exit websites, platform/device type, date and time of visit, and click behaviour to analyze visitor use in aggregate, gather broad demographic data, and for the administration of the website. We do not link this data to any personally identifiable information.
Communications From our Website
Updates and Special Offers
We will occasionally send news on products, services, and special deals, and a newsletter, to established visitors. If you’d prefer not to receive these communications, let us know at: help@CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk
We automatically subscribe customers to our newsletter. If you’d prefer not to receive a newsletter, let us know at: help@CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk
We use email and phone information to communicate with customers in the process of fulfilling orders and providing customer service.
We make every effort to conserve customer privacy, but we may disclose personal data if we are required to do so by law. In such situations, we would need to believe in good faith that such disclosure is required as part of a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website.
We use a third-party courier company to deliver orders and a credit card service to process payments. These third parties do not store, share, retain or use personal data for secondary purposes.
If CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk takes part in a transition, for example, a merger or acquisition, or sale of part of company assets, customers’ data will, in the majority of cases, comprise part of the assets that are transferred. Customers will be given choice as stated in our Notification of Changes section if personal data will be used in a manner differing from that stated at the time it was collected, as a result of a business transition.
At the point where we ask for user information, we give visitors the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having their data used for purposes not in direct relation to our website. For example, our website order form has an ‘opt-out’ box so that visitors can choose not to receive marketing material as a result of placing an order.
Customers not wishing to receive our newsletter or promotional materials may opt-out of getting these by replying to unsubscribe in the newsletter subject line, or by contacting us at Help@CustomPackagingBoxes.co.uk
We make every effort to protect visitor data. We protect any user information we receive, both on and off-line.
We use the best encryption software in the industry—SSL to encrypt and protect sensitive information such as credit card numbers. Browsers such as Internet Explorer show a “locked” icon on our secure pages, including our order form.
We do everything possible to protect customer data offline. We restrict access on our premises to all and any customer information. Only staff who need the data to perform a specific process (for example, delivery) can have access to customer personal data. Staff can only gain access to customer information via a password account. Our servers containing customer data are located in a high-security setting.
Supplementation of Information
Notification of Changes
If we plan or intend to use customers’ personal information in a way that differs from that which we stated when we collected the data, we will notify customers via email. Each customer will then be able to choose whether or not we use his or her data in such away.
